Big Barracuda

Bob went fishing on Saturday and reeled in two barracuda, as well as a few tuna!

Rob and Monica have been our good friends here on the island. Rob works for Deloitte with Bob and Monica is my other unemployed friend. They are from South Africa and we have fun learning about each other's cultures. They just returned from Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon and had a wonderful time!

Pictures from America

This is a photo of Bob, Ben, Jones, and DuBois catching up the day before the wedding.

At the reception, BJ, Shannel, Jones, Bob, DuBois, Alexis, and Ben. We will call this the "Before Shot" :)

Back in KC we met up with our good friends Travis and Lindsay. They were kind enough to indulge our appetites and took us to Mi Ranchito. It was oh soooo good.

No Royals home game did not stop the family from taking a trip to Kauffmann Stadium! We took a tour of the new facility and it is awesome!

We also stayed on the Plaza and Bob's parents came and met us for dinner at Fogo de Chao, the brazilian steak house. I am pretty sure both the dad's and Bob got their money's worth!

It was so much fun to see everyone over the past few weeks! Thanks for coming to see us/letting us come and see you. Hopefully we will plan better over Christmas :)

And We're Back!

After 10 lovely days in the US of A we have returned to Cayman! The dog is super happy to see us (apparently 12 days in the kennel at a random vet isn't fun). She has been clinging to me like glue today making it hard to get my errands done. Almost everything is broken right now from the cable to the internet to the car. Yep, car won't start. Special thanks to my friend Sasha for picking us up from the airport last night and then taking me on all kinds of errands this morning.

Bob took the camera to work, so pictures will have to follow of our US vacation. We spent a couple of days in St. Louis for Brian Wacker's wedding, then went to Quincy for Bob's grandma's 90th birthday extravaganza. Tuesday we drove to KC and spent time with friends and family! It was good to see so many people. We should have planned to go to Wichita so we could have gone to see my grandparents. I have two that are in nursing care and my grandfather isn't doing as well as we would like. Keep him in your prayers!

Another thing to watch for: Hurricanes. We now have two named hurricanes in the Caribbean, Ana and Bill. Both should stay east of us, but the are predicting some rainy days in our future. We are very lucky to have made it this far into the season without trouble. September is the peak of the season and it will continue on until November.

Quick Update!

Well, the move happened and so far we couldn't be happier! Our new place is in a quiet part of the island known as Governour's Harbor. We have more space and are super close to 7 mile beach! Hooray! Siena is getting spoiled by all of the beach walks and runs she gets now. Today is the first day she seems comfortable here. I feel bad that she is going to have to go to the vet for boarding on Wednesday. She's going to be a bit upset.

The past two weeks have been filled with packing, moving and organizing so nothing much has happened. Just hanging out with our friends, watching movies and going to dinners.

We are leaving for St. Louis on Thursday! We are spending the weekend there and then driving to Quincy, IL for Bob's grandma's 90th birthday bash! We then drive to KC on Tuesday :) Give us a call at 913-226-5514 if you want to hang out! This is Bob's first trip since he came to Cayman and I think he is eager to get off the island for a little bit.
